In 2025, Tromsø Airport introduced multiple updates. The runway was resurfaced and maintained during the summer. Norwegian Air Shuttle announced a new Munich–Tromsø service operating twice weekly beginning October 26, 2025.

Iberia confirmed the return of its direct winter flights to Tromsø starting December 3, 2025.
