Campus Layout & Landmarks

The campus is organized along the western shore of Lake Bemidji. The academic core is centered around Sanford Quad and Centennial Plaza. Key landmarks include the Bangsberg Fine Arts Complex to the south and the Gillett Wellness Center to the northwest. The A.C. Clark Library is located centrally, just north of Memorial Hall.

Walking Routes & Accessibility

Pedestrian pathways connect all major buildings and residential areas. A main recreation path follows the perimeter of the campus. Accessible entrances are clearly marked on the map, providing access to all primary academic and student life facilities. The central campus is easily walkable, with clear routes between the residence halls and academic buildings.

Parking & Entrances

Numerous parking lots are available and distributed across campus, located near major academic buildings and residence halls. The main entrance for admissions is located in Deputy Hall. Refer to the parking map for specific lot designations for visitors, students, and staff.

Transit & Getting Here

Bemidji State University is located at 1500 Birchmont Drive NE. This main road provides primary access to the campus from the north and south. Internal campus roads connect all parking lots and buildings, allowing for easy navigation once on site.

Dorms & Student Housing

On-campus housing is clustered in two main areas. The high-rise residence halls—Tamarack , Linden , and Decker —are located on the north side of campus, convenient to the Gillett Wellness Center. Other halls, including Birch , Pine , and Oak , are situated along the eastern side near the A.C. Clark Library.

Dining & Student Life

Student life is centered at the Lower and Upper Hobson Union, located in the heart of the academic core. The Gillett Wellness Center provides extensive recreation facilities on the northwest side. For cultural engagement, the American Indian Resource Center is located on the east side of campus, near Birch Hall.

Is Bemidji State a dry campus?

Bemidji State University is mostly a dry campus, prohibiting possession, consumption, and distribution of alcohol in university buildings and on campus grounds.
