McGhee Tyson Airport Map (most Up-To-Date)
No inter-terminal transfer is required at Knoxville. The airport’s single concourse keeps all gates within a few minutes’ walk after security. If you’re connecting flights, simply follow “Gates 1–12” overhead signs—you’ll stay inside the secure area and won’t need to re-screen.
All airlines operate from the same terminal at TYS. American, Delta, and United check in near the center counters, while Allegiant and Frontier use the end islands. Gate assignments appear on displays past security, and all flights depart from the same concourse.
Short-Term parking is in the garage directly across from the terminal, connected by a covered walkway. Long-Term and Economy lots line the airport loop road and include free shuttle service to the terminal doors. Follow blue “Parking” signs—short stay for fast pickup, long stay for trips lasting several days.
From ticketing to any gate, plan for 3–7 minutes of walking. The concourse is compact, with clear sightlines and moving walkways absent, so everything is close at hand. Arrivals can reach baggage claim in about 2 minutes via escalators or elevators to the lower level.
Food and beverage options cluster beyond security near the midpoint of the concourse, with a full-service restaurant, café, and grab-and-go stand. Before security, a coffee shop and newsstand sit beside ticketing. While TYS has no airline-specific lounges, there are quiet seating areas near Gates 8 and 10 with charging ports.
There’s no rail link to the airport. Taxis, rideshares, and hotel shuttles line up outside the lower-level arrivals doors. Car rental counters are adjacent to baggage claim, with vehicles parked just steps away in the connected garage. Downtown Knoxville is roughly 20 minutes by car—choose rideshare for convenience or rental for regional travel.
